They see Me rollin~

*DROP THE BEAT* "Wub wub wub wub wub....."

Yo guys, it is your boy, Trident here.

Before starting our topic today, I think you guys should have a nice day. If not, phuck it! Let it be, be a happy baby to read my swaggy post (not saggy...erhem I know you read it that way, gotcha beach!)

Ok, sorry for being stupid just now, and now, today, we are going to talk about CARTOONS.

First of all, what is Cartoon(s)? A moving image? Another kind of art illustration? A new kind of drawings? Well, it is very subjective but the generic definition for it is this: A cartoon is a form of two-dimensional illustrated visual art. (found it on Wiki, if disagree, don't blame me #never trust wikipedia)

Did you know who invented it? Actually, I would say it is "started" rather than "invented", the first saw animated project is made by a french science teacher Charles-Émile Reynaud.

The original one or so called the ancient one of the cartoon is made up by papers. The artists themselves converted their ideas into papers and then make it dynamic by flipping the papers piece by piece or just make them into a roll of film or, nowadays we called it ---- motion-pictures.

There are a lot of cartoons out there, but for me, the best one is Mickey Mouse. (wait..what?)
As everybody knows Mickey Mouse is symbolic with its two round circle on his round head, technically it is three circles.Mickey Mouse

In the early time, Mickey is actually a replacement made by Disney to change Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, because of some copyrighted issues. It is very shocking that Mickey is actually inspired from a tame mouse, which then be transformed into a marvelous cartoon character.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
If not mistaken, Mickey is actually a comedic cartoon which is to make people laugh and enjoy. I admired Mr.Disney's work that he turns an animal creature into a such funny cartoon character, which there's few attempts before him that had failed. The time and efforts he have put into this is unpredictable, the idea he had is spectacular.

For the those who didn't know, Mickey was created in 1928, which is way much older than any of us, unless you have grandparents that are older or same age as Mickey, I salute to them! You old folks have been through a lot of things.

Mr.Walt Disney

That's the point I choose Mickey in this topic, the AGE! It is easy to create a thing that will become popular but it is hard to create a thing that will inherit generation by generation. Because if a thing is popular, it must be a down-fall for it, such as Gangnam Style, Frozen, Taken and so on. But there are something that is inherited by our ancestors to us, us to our offspring. For example, Michael Jackson's songs, The Beatles, William Shakespeare's works, Chess, and so on. All these things that won't be disappearing in ages or even forever. Mickey is just the same. Mr.Disney is a great guy who creates a children's hero. Creating a masterpiece is a bit difficult, I bet some of you can also do it, but will it be successful? The age has clearly proven that Mickey is really an incredible masterpiece

Michael Jackson
William Shakespeare

Honestly, I have been watching Mickey's cartoon since child until now, because my sister watches it sometimes, so I will just watch whatever she watches as long as it is not Barbie, no offense. I found that Mickey has dominated most of the things around us. From comedy to education(and also from 2D to 3D animation), Mickey is originally a comedic cartoon, then it transformed into a more common cartoon like descriptive cartoon, then now it even has its own educational cartoon, Mickey Mouse Playhouse which is mostly for the child aged between 3 to 7 to learn things. Mickey also has its own merchandise from real to replica, whatever it is. Mickey is everywhere!! It even has collaboration in games!! such as Kingdom Hearts.

Mickey in Kingdom Hearts

Mickey inspires me to create a character that will inherit ages by ages. I as will be a game developer,  I am hoping than I am able to pursue this in my future career, I hope it will be successful although it might be a very hard journey. As you guys, keep fighting!! EVERYONE IS NATURALLY BORN AWESOME! and peace out. Grazie! and Adios~

Well..Guess What?

ELLOOO!!!! YoYoYo What's up Guys It's TRIDENT Here!

Today we are having another sharing session right here. Take a nice drink and sit down to read this awesome post.

Few days ago, I introduced a comic book to you guys that is Kuso High School. Now, today, this moment, we are going to talk about GAMES!

Yes, you didn't get it wrong. It is GAMES!!! I bet any of you reading right now has played games in your lifetime. I mean not only the video games that I will specify later on. What I meant are outdoor games, childhood games, extreme games and so on, as long as it is playable.

What is game(s)?
I know there is a lot of definition out there, but for me, the most accurate definition for me is Zimmerman's version. He said," Game is a system in which players engage in an artificial conflict, define by rules, that result in a quantifiable outcome." I know some of you may disagree with this, but what he is trying to do is to separate the virtual games(video games) and real life games(mostly sport games). That's why he mentioned the word "artificial".

Eric Zimmerman

Now back to our main topic for today, the video games.

I played many kinds of video games,  the awarded games like Uncharted, God of War and some other famous franchises like Call of Duty series, Need For Speed series, The Sim, Grand Theft Auto series and so on. What I want to clarify is I LOVE GAMES, not just playing and of course, in making them, that's the reason why I choose this course, Game Development.

Call of Duty: Ghost

Well, I have been experienced in Gaming for years, I can tell you, I have been playing video games for more than 10 years. For me, Game is love, Game is life. But there is one of my favorite game that I haven't share it out yet.

Which is the Final Fantasy series.

For the person who knew this, the first thing on their mind is "Oh, this game is just about strategies and tactics.", but for the outsiders, they would say "Oh this game is boring!".
For the latest newcomers, "This game has an incredible, fantastic graphic!"

Well, honestly, I wasn't impressed by its gameplay and graphics. Honestly, I found the gameplay itself is quite boring. Maybe I am not the turn-based type of game player. But the graphics are truly awesome after Final Fantasy VII.

I was inspired by its idea! The world of Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy is not just a video game, there are also spirits, imagination, dream and hope that implanted into the game by the creators. It is actually a living universe created by the Game Creators' mind, their own perfect world.

I think it is very adventurous and exciting while exploring other people's mind. In the moment of exploration, you can get to known more about the person, then also yourself. Why I mention "yourself"? When a certain act takes place, you will start guessing what's going to happen next or end in some way you wanted., but in the end the result shocks you, sometimes somebody will say "awww....why you end it this way, if I were you, I will end it like this, blah blah blah..."
First, this is because you have your own thoughts. If you think deeper, you will discover what  kind of person you are, romantic? spiritual? faithful? and so on.

Some characters in Final Fantasy may represent me, but the closest one is Cloud from Final Fantasy VII. He is a "so lost" guy, why? He has lost most of his memories, what he doing is to discover back all the things about himself little by little. But for me, obviously, I didn't lose my memories, I just still discovering myself, who am I? What should I pursue in the future? What is called "living" and "surviving"?

Cloud

Although, all the characters in the Final Fantasy Universe maybe frictional, but they are amazingly awesome and impressive that the creators spent their time on the characters build-up. That's the reason why the series still going on until today.

A little additional information here, Final Fantasy wasn't "Final" at first. When the first creator of this series, the company Square, he worked in, had financial issues, so in the end the original series named "Fantasy" had to change into "Final Fantasy" since he thought this could be his final production. But a company named Enix bought over Square and formed today's "Square Enix".

Final Fantasy has a wonderful settings and storyline, they expressed the characters' specialty very well. That's one thing I don't like about it, it's the story got way too long. I knew the creators did a great work on the story-telling but it is a bit long and it may ends up boring. I also hope that the developer, Square Enix should make the reboot of old Final Fantasy such Final Fantasy I, II and so on. Because at that time, Final Fantasy games are mostly "pixels", so I think Square Enix should use the advantages of Technology to remake them. Overall is good.

Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy is a fantastic, be sure you go through all of them and have your happy time. Grazie! and Adios~

In the MEANTIME......

Elllooo!!! Everyone, it is your homie, Trident here.

It is been a great day to have a book and a coffee or a tea on your hand to relax, sitting down in the garden or wherever comfortable to read it.

Today, I would like to recommend a comedic comic book "Kuso High Scchool" which is drawn by a Malaysia Artist, Keith. He has done a very great job on the artwork, but that's not the reason I have been reading his comic book for many years.

Ok! Enough with all the nonsense, let's get into the comic world!!

For those who don't know about the meaning of the term "Kuso", the word is invented by the Japanese, means "crap" or "shit". So all together, the title of the book will be "Crappy High School".

But trust me, the book itself become interesting is because it is crappy. First of all, the book set the background as in a high school, but be careful, there's nothing related to the American or English High School. It is all about Malaysia Secondary School.

I know these will be nothing for some of you guys, but for me, it is my precious school time memories. I like how Keith illustrates the behavior of the students in a comic book, such as selfie in the toilet, staring around to look for pretty girls, being an asshole by making teacher angry and the ULTIMATE weakness to all student -------- EXAMINATION almost every week. The story becomes funny when the characters in the comic book tried hard to cheat but ended up worse. Yes, that's what we did back in the school time.

At school,
For boys, don't tell me you didn't stare at your Crush or some pretty ladies.
For girls, don't tell me you didn't selfie whenever you can.

Furthermore, the thing that impressed me is the book represents the Malaysia Cultures, such as some specific words we used in conversation "lah, leh, lu, lor". The latest one is "bojio", I know some of you first saw this word will relate it to French but this is a BIG NO! This word means "didn't invite" and it is from Hokkien(one of our dialect). Did you know the weather settings in the book is always cloudy, rainy or sunny? I hope you can understand Malaysia don't have four seasons, and Malaysians don't live on trees.

The book also represents what's trending in Malaysia, such as the moment of the Gangnam Style song releases, the moment of the iPhone 6 releases, the moment when all the Aunties or Mothers went to shopping malls where have mega-sales. It is talking about our Malaysian's lifestyle, how we react to all of these things. We also have a lot of delicious food and fruits.

Here are some information about Malaysia that you probably miss it:
1.Malaysia is one of the Top 10 Nations with the most public holidays.
2.Malaysia has two cities gained the named of "Top 10 Cities with most selfies" which is Petaling Jaya and George Town, as you can see Malaysians love to take selfies.
3. The King of the fruit ------ Durian and the Queen of the fruit ------ Mangosteen are both originated from Malaysia.

All these things are covered by Keith in the comic book. It is comedic and worth to read, I would say this book is a stress-relief. I would like to share some footage on here since it is copyrighted, I can't do it because it is against the law. I highly recommended this book, and once for all, but I think the book still need to be improved on its story length as longer as possible. After that, more character introduction should also add into the book, because I can barely know the characters' name instead of their background story. Overall is a great comic book.

I was surprised that Keith didn't pursue his career by drawing Japan Animation or American's Style Comic instead of staying in Malaysia and drew a set of comics about Malaysia. Why he take such risky path that matters his future? Because he is a patriotic artist. I not just admired his work and also his spirit. In the end, please give this guy a big clap. Grazie! and Adios~
